Is Honey Counterproductive for Fat Loss
So i got a question on You Tube from Frent Edi – The question is – Should You Consume Honey if you are trying to lose body fat ?
Ok so, honey is extremely good from a health perspective,it is high in anti oxidants,it has anti bacterial properties,it can help you to boost your memory, so overall from a health perspective honey is very good.
However from an extreme fat loss perspective wherein your goal is to see six pack abs,lose belly fat or get a well defined stomach then you need to avoid all forms of sugar completely which would include both processed sugar and even natural sugar/fruit sugar.
Honey is high in fructose (fruit sugar) which is counterproductive from a fat loss perspective and is not recommended if you trying to lose belly fat.
If you have to consume honey then its best to consume either pre workout or post workout because if you consume honey pre workout then sugar calories from it will be utilized during the workout and if you consume post workout then the sugar calories will help to stabilize blood sugar level and will also help recover from the workout quickly, barring that you should avoid honey completely as it will only get stored as body fat.
