Does Protein Shake make you Bulky or Ripped ?
Ok so i get this query all the time -Should i consume protein shakes, Will it make me big or will i lose weight ?
Well the answer is pretty simple,consuming only protein shakes does not make you gain or lose weight, it is the number of calories that will decide weather you get bulky or ripped.
For example if you follow a high calorie diet, incorporate heavy weight training and consume protein shakes then you will gain muscle and weight,on the other hand if you follow a low calorie diet, workout regularly and drink protein shakes you will lose weight.
Protein Shakes are made up of amino acids which form building blocks of your muscle tissue,helps with faster muscle recovery and its role is pretty much limited to that, so unless you are consuming 20 scoops protein shake a day it will not help gain or lose weight.
For those who do not want to consume protein shakes can always consume natural sources of protein which are equally effective to build lean muscle tissue. For example eggs, chicken, fish, cottage cheese, tofu are all good sources of natural protein.
