Fat is needed for growth,recovery and overall health,it serves as source of energy and is needed for production of various hormones in our body.Fat plays a vital role as it is needed for absorption of fat soluble vitamins like Vitamin A,D,E and K which in turn would give you good skin quality,healthy hair quality and stronger bones.
Now the reason i am emphasizing on importance of fat because in attempt to lose weight quickly most people avoid fat completely from their diet which is not a good idea as leaving fat completely can lead to various nutritional deficiencies like bad skin quality,bad hair quality, weakness ,weaker bones,increasing chances of osteoporosis to name a few.
Fat does not make you put on weight it is the number of calories that make you put on weight,so if you are eating large number of calories it does not matter where they come from it will still make you put on weight/body fat.Although not to forget that fat has more calories than carbohydrates and protein and that’s why you should not overdo fat as eating large quantities of fat would mean more calories hence weight gain.
The point i am trying to make over here is- for healthy weight loss you should consume everything but in limited quantity as ultimately its number of calories that make you put on weight/body fat.
From a health point of view make sure that you eat healthy fat like omega 3,olive oil and even desi ghee as they have various health benefits, studies show that by eating healthy fats in limited quantity can help you decrease bad cholesterol and increase good cholesterol,help in digestion and improve quality of life……So eat fat but in limited quantity.
