Samosa is extremely tasty but regular consumption of Samosas is a sure shot recipe to become fat and get unhealthy. Let me explain why –
The Outer Coating of Samosa is made up of White Flour which hardly has any nutrition and provides only empty calories to your body, these empty calories increase your chances of nutritional deficiency and also gets stored at body fat (mostly around belly, butt and thighs)
The filling inside the Samosa is of White Potatoes which happens to be a high glycemic index food group, simply put consumption of white potato raises your blood sugar level instantly and gets stored as body fat.
Samosa is fried in tons of oil which makes in high in calorie content, 2 Samosas contains 600 Calories approx. and in case you are wondering how much you have to work out to burn those calories ….i would say an easy 45 -60 minutes of jogging .
It gets worse if you are consuming fried Samosas from an outside restaurant , most restaurants keep reusing the same oil for frying again and again which makes the cooking oil rancid. Regular consumption of rancid oil can lead serious health complications like cardio vascular disorders, damage to liver and kidneys and innumerable other health problems.
In Conclusion :Regular of consumption of foods like Samosa will deteriorate your fitness levels and will make you put on loads of fat if you really serious about getting in shape then you need to watch what you eat.
